Quite close to the city, you will find the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a place considered one of the highest coastal mountains in the world. Long ago, many explorers used to describe it as a mysterious land full of secrets. If you like hiking, you can walk through ecological trails, and if you go there, you must respect the environment. You don’t have to be an expert hiker to enjoy the beauty, but you have to carry water and good shoes.
